> How Does MRI Business Brokerage help me move to Florida?

> What is the E-2 visa?

The E-2 visa, also known at the Treaty Investor Vsa, is for those looking to purchase an existing business that has and maintains at least two employees or subcontractors. Additionally, a business that may qualify for E-2 visa application must be actively engaged in producing goods or services.



> How may I qualify for an E-2 visa?

The United States only considers applicants from treaty countries who are looking to enter the country to manage a business enterprise that he or she has invested or is committed to invest a substantial amount of capital. The investor must be the source of the funds to be used, though gifts of funds are also permitted.



> Can my family come to Florida on my E-2 visa?

Your spouse can immigrate with you to Florida with your qualifying E-2 visa, and may even recieve work authorization to pursue a career independent of your business if he or she chooses to relocate with you as a dependant. If you have children, they may come as well if they are under 21 and unmarried though all options for your family and spouse’s employment should be discussed with an immigration attorney, who we will be happy to introduce to you.



> Are there other visa options available?

There are several options to consider when planning relocating to the United States. If you have an existing business that you can keep running in your home country, you may qualify for an L-1 Visa. As well, there are other visas available at different investment levels. It is important to speak to an immigration attorney before making any decision. We can then together find the right opportunity for you that may match your needs.



> Can a bank finance my purchase?

Typically, banks will not finance business purchases by foreign nationals. Though occasionally a seller will finance a portion of the purchase price, these transactions are few and far between. We recommend to our clients they have at least a minimum of £100,000 in liquid funds to cover the purchase and immigration costs should they consider purchasing to apply for a visa.



> How will I know which business is right for me?

Based on your preferences and budget, we will investigate every candidate business in detail prior to presenting them to you. When you have decided on some businesses that would be of serious interest to you, we will then organize your Inspection Trip to Florida. While in Florida, you will meet with sellers, examine each business in detail, and be introduced to immigration specialists, attorneys and accountants.



> Will an Inspection Trip leave me enough time to decide?

Considering which business to buy and where you want to live is of course a major decision. Our goal is to do the research for you prior to your arrival so that your trip here will be an efficient and productive one, thus allowing you to purchase the business while here. We can also assist you in finding a home to live in once you have chosen the business you would like to purchase. We will be happy to create a tailor-made portfolio of homes for you to inspect while you are here, or we can arrange a subsequent Inspection Trip for you if you prefer.
